Academic Integrity Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Platform Purpose

SukuLink is an educational technology platform designed to help students prepare for examinations through structured study materials, past question practice, and AI-powered tutoring.

Our platform is a learning tool, not an exam aid. It is intended to be used for revision, study, and practice before examinations — never during live exams.

We are committed to supporting the integrity of the West African examination system and the educational institutions that use our platform.

Prohibited Uses

The following uses of SukuLink are strictly prohibited:

  • Using the AI tutor, past question features, or any platform functionality during a live examination
  • Submitting live exam questions to the AI tutor for answers
  • Sharing AI-generated responses with other students during examinations
  • Photographing or copying exam questions into the platform during an active exam session
  • Using the platform to facilitate any form of examination malpractice
  • Attempting to circumvent platform safeguards (blackout windows, usage limits)

WAEC Regulations

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) strictly prohibits the use of unauthorized materials during examinations. Violations can result in:

  • Cancellation of results for the affected subject(s)
  • Barring from future WAEC examinations for a specified period
  • Legal prosecution under applicable national laws

Using AI tools, including SukuLink's AI tutor, during a live WAEC examination constitutes examination malpractice under WAEC regulations.

Consequences

Violations of this policy may result in the following actions:

  • Account suspension — temporary or permanent, depending on severity
  • Institution notification — if you are an institutional student, your school administration will be informed
  • Feature restrictions — loss of access to AI tutor and practice features
  • Referral to authorities — in cases of confirmed examination fraud, we may cooperate with WAEC and relevant authorities

Platform Safeguards

SukuLink implements several technical measures to prevent misuse:

Exam Blackout Windows

AI and practice features are automatically restricted during official examination periods.

Question Fingerprinting

Questions submitted to AI are checked against known past papers to detect unseen exam questions.

Usage Monitoring

Unusual patterns (rapid-fire queries during exams) are flagged for review.

AI Refusal

The AI tutor is trained to refuse answering questions that appear to be from live exams.

Reporting Mechanism

If you witness or suspect examination malpractice involving SukuLink, please report it:

All reports are reviewed within 48 hours. Reporter identities are kept confidential.
